File Information

Section 1: File Integrity

Open the IES file in Photometric Toolbox
Check Item Status
File opens without errors or warnings
No repair prompts on file open
Manufacturer name is correct ([MANUFAC] = Acclaim Lighting)
Luminaire catalog number is populated ([LUMCAT])
Luminous dimensions are specified (not 0 x 0)

Section 2: C-Plane Orientation

Asymmetric Optics (10x60, 10x35, 30x60, etc.)
Check Item Status
Open Smart Symbols dialog (AGi32) or View Tool (Photometric Toolbox)
Polar plot elongation aligns with fixture symbol length
If 90° off: Note rotation needed and apply correction
Symmetric Optics (10x10, 20x20, 40x40, 65x65, etc.)
Check Item Status
Confirm source followed correct orientation standard
In-house Viso files: 90° rotation applied before IES export
Factory files: Orientation matches other files in same product family

Section 3: Beam Symmetry & Distribution

Check Item Status
View polar plot in Photometric Toolbox 3D View
Distribution appears centered (not skewed to one side)
For symmetric optics: Distribution is visually symmetric in all C-planes
Max candela location is at or near 0° (nadir) for downlights
Note: Asymmetry indicates goniometer misalignment during testing. Request re-test from source.

Section 4: Photometric Values Verification

Check Item Status
Efficacy is expected for this unit (30-50 lpw for color, 70+ for white)
Center beam candela within expected range for optic type
Beam angle is similar to stated value (may not apply to downlights)
Power consumption is similar to the stated value

Section 5: Export Formats

Check Item Status
File exported to .IES for publishing
File exported to .LDT for publishing
File exported to .XML (TM-33-18) for publishing
